ATRA Refund Policy

This policy is applicable to clinics, rides or other events requiring a deposit or prepayment. Note that participants are deemed registered when their ATRA membership is valid; they have provided a valid AEF membership number; and their event payment has been deposited into ATRA’s account. A participant is entitled to a refund under any of the following circumstances:

  1. The event is cancelled by ATRA (e.g., insufficient registrants); or

  2. The event is cancelled by the clinician/organizer; or

  3. The event is rescheduled to a later date and the participant is unavailable or disinterested in the new date; or

  4. A refund is requested 1 month or more prior to the event; or

  5. The spot is filled by another participant.

Refunds are not generally granted in the event of illness or injury of the horse or rider, trailering issues, or participant scheduling conflicts.

Appeals for review of special circumstances can be made to the Clinic Committee, which will discuss among themselves and present a recommendation to the Board for majority vote at the next Board meeting.
